Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints? Chances are he grew up to be a conservative.

At least, he did if he was one of 95 kids from the Berkeley area that social scientists have been tracking for the last 20 years. The confident, resilient, self-reliant kids mostly grew up to be liberals.

It's a freaking warzone in Beijing. I haven't been able to sleep well lately coz of the damn fireworks. I was eager to buy myself some of the stuffs and ignite those suckers around 4 or 5 am in the morning. hehehe. MWUAHAHAHA!

I went out with my roommate to her friend's house and ended up having a really fabulous dinner. I was dreading that i would be stuck with some weird unknown people that night but it turned out that we were both the only people attending the dinner because Jillian got back late from her work and her roommates decided that they would skip the dinner and meet up with her later for drinks. The dinner was minimal but the booze were plenty. You see, Jillian work for Jenny Lou as their wine advisor so she gets to have this nice selection of wine every now and then and she told us that she would invite us to some wine tasting events for free- hah I never like wine before but that night surely changed me. Beside that, we also did acouple of shots with that korean shoju. I don't really know how many Ganbei, Banbei or Kebei we did before we decided it was time to head out but when i checked Nuria's text it was around 11 pm.

Ah, the events went on to like

-Jillian did a performance of her day at work... "Wei oui yesh madame, you sheez thiz wine is from the finezt vinezyardz in cheena" "Whatz itz taste like, madame? hmmm... woodsy? no? hmmm... grape! maybe?!" hahahaha i should have recorded it...

-Sydney managed to snort out some booze from her nose

-Discovered what each of our priority in life is based on the question of what business we like to pursue... Me: Loan Shark Sydney: Small travel agency Jillian: taking over Jenny Lou

-Jillian mistaken her friend for her dad on the phone.

It turned out that we skipped on going to BED, so we headed to Huxley to meet up with Jillian's friends, Benjamin and John- a another sucker who signed up with Worldlink - Martial Arts. Good time. After that we decided to go to BabyFace to finally meet up with the roommates and his friends (the crazy indonesians) aheh. wow my first hangout with commerades. Typically they were indo-chinese and i didn't fit in. blah.

I was supposed to meet up with Kyle today but his pengyou men and family wouldn't let him return to Beijing until tomorrow and he doesn't have anyway to get back since he is 3 hours away from Beijing. yikes! talk about kidnapping! So we will meet on wednesday to do some culture stuffs. It's good since this give me time to brush up with my chinese. I have to do this since Kyle told me that his chinese mom and co-workers invited me to come and join them for lunch and i don't want to be the idiot laowai at the table. I also managed to get a reply from Brandon- he will join us on our excursion around the city yay! so hopefully, everything works out .::finger crosses::.

I'm going to chill around the house more often- especially during the weekend.

The birthday dinner went pretty well. I didn't expect additional people would show up since I only reserved for 6 people- 6 more showed up. The food was good and the only major complain that i have is the price - aigh. oh, and the misadvertisement- there weren't any dancers at all!!! Remember though, most important thing is everyone had a good time.

-Kyle was sweating because his food was too spicy- I admit even for me it was alil bit too much. However, he finished it- good boy.
-Steven being all worked up with my present. He was telling me, while we were @ the table that he has a gift for me but he decided against it... and then he changed his mind again... so i finally told him whhhaat?! come!! give it to me!! Heh, he gave me a dvd movie. heh. not just any movie though. heh. ain't going to mention this.
-I think I'm starting to like Bar Blu more than Kai. I don't know... i guess it must be because I can always get a table there in no time- thanks to one particular waiter. Mira, Joachin, Kyle and Abdul = Good time. hahaha we managed to get rid of Adnan.
-I explained to Mira about T and P rule of beijing lesbian community. She said if she had to follow the rule, she would be a T. niceeee. hahaha.

boooo didn't get any lapdance!! I'm not going to give up and joachin still owe me. Me+Nina+Joachin = strip joint zai nar!?!?!

Saturday:
-Went with my friend- adriana to Temple of Heaven.
-Survived the spanish inquisition night .aka so called family dinner. Diana made awesome pasta though.
-I agree with Adam... that place is a "S.A.D" home.

Today... no plans at all except studying and dinner and a movie @ steven's place for some dutch food. hmmmm hao hao!

great. i'm not looking forward on monday since we both are going to be in the same class. argh. she told me this morning that we should study together... ummm.... no (this is after i told her that i'm going to meet my language partner today- hahaha - yes that's the only excuse that i can come up) alright.

when i left her house i feel like Carrie from sex in the city. well, minus the 400 dollar shoes. hehehe. i also had this clarinex commercial song in my head... (It's a beautiful morning...tra la la la..)

i called kyle around 10ish to see if he had any plan for saturday. hmmm... yes, i finally got to taste hidden tree's pizza- blah it was alright. not that good- they don't even have crushed pepper- HELLO!!. we ate like pigs though...i don't get why people eat pizza with fork and knife. hello it's a fucking pizza.
-Kyle is an educated drunk driver. His secret is to drive slowly and listen to Kenny G- no police will suspect that you are drunk. aigh.

Went to Kai club @ 8 so we could get our table again and as usual no one is there- good.
2 hours went by and who showed up? yup- them- sylvie, adriana and diana. grrrrr.
Why is that everyone tells me that i need to chill and calm down? wtf. you know... straight girls tick me off... they are not fun to be around in bar. eveything went down after that... first off we had to scoot over and most importantly, none of us three offered them to join with us - they just plopped down. grrrrr! Luckily, i noticed people next to us leaving so we moved - wooiih thank gawd.

Kyle later on ditched me and joachin for the beautiful Melanie, who was already waiting for him downstairs- i guess this is why i went downstairs.
Argued with Joachin near the toilet. hhehehe
Smoked 2 ciggies - i must be really fucking drunk- at least i didnt make a scene.
Went home with her.... heh. i noticed that this is my second time to leave early- usually i always stick around until the end.

fuck dad!! why do you have to call me @ 6 am. yes i dont care if its 7:30 or 8:30 your time but please do not call me at that freaking hour. so anyway. happy be lated birthday to you! awww..i miss my pop.

so i balanced myself near the edge of the bed... I was a-okay though until 10 minutes...i fucking lost it and fell head first on the wooden floor. somehow it didnt hurt and i kept on talking to him for another 45 minutes.
hehehe. shite. it hurts now.
hmm... yes... once people wake me up i cant fucking go back to sleep again... what to do what to do... so i called allison. yes, allisoooooooonnnnn! i always feel comfortable just talking to her... well 2 years of relationship give you plenty of time to be comfortable .duh! anyway...hahaha i didn't realise that it is still friday over there and she was walking home from her work ok...! let's move on... so yeah it was nice hearing her voice and talking with her... hmmm.. what the heck did i talk? i already forgot. i know one though... i have to get an advice or come up with something -(with her help that is) and draw a freaking plan on how to quit drinking... while i was talking to her about my drinking experience...somehow it hit me (yes, i was fucking laying on the floor and looking at the ceiling).......im freaking wasting my time. i know i know. wtf? alright... i think im gonna hangout with Kyle .... beside allison...... kyle is the person that i tell my problems. yes. today i will hangout with kyle... i feel like eating fish and chips. hmmm... greasy but good food. all good yo!

Do I sound different on the phone? Just now, my friend Subak called and she had to ask for me. I know... we both haven't spoken to eachother since the start of spring break... but she had called numerous times before. hmmmm... makes me wonder if people do that just to be courteous... oh gawd, i don't like that... if they are my friend...don't need to be so fucking formal. just chill..

i forgot to mention in my last entry.
it was so great to see laoshi mei on sunday. i miss her so much. i mean greez she was my favorite teacher... wo de zong he laoshi - sigh... the only class that my attendance record is perfect.
hahaha i still remember her reaction when she saw my new look... she pinched both my fucking cheek - "aiiyaaa S***, you look so cool!". ah yeah.. now me and the boys know where to get her when we feel like taking her out for dinner. wooohhhooo!
We kind of dissapoint her though... she asked us to say something in chinese but we just stood there staring at her blankly... we quickly changed the subject to her hair hahaha... i swear to gawd that last semester, we would notice her with different haircut every three week. she is awesome.
